SpaceX's Bobby Block describes how the launch structure raises the Falcon 9 into launch position. The Launch support structure at SpaceX's Launch Complex 40   at  Cape Canaveral, Florida sits on rails. The rails allow the the rocket to be quickly rolled from the hangar to the pad before erecting it to the vertical position.
